Heritage Oak Rescue & Rehabilitation is not your average horse rescue. Our main focus is educating humans to better understand and care for horses.

We offer a no-cost lesson program to low income individuals in Bandera County.

We have a closed herd, meaning the horses here will have a forever home with us. We only take in new horses as our budget allows.

The horses here have a job. They will be utilized in the basic horsemanship lesson program to give individuals firsthand experience handling horses.
